Small kitchen in the apartment - this is not a reason to be upset. Even in a small area, you can arrange a beautiful and comfortable kitchen space. The main responsible approach to this issue.

Design 

We design our kitchen for a month.

Do a lot of sketching, planning and alignment equipment cabinets, got acquainted with the unusual patterns on the internet and magazines, we chose the stores modern and practical installation. Among the various options were those on which we refused for specific reasons:

• Use sill as an additional working surface;
• placing the kitchen sink in the sill area;
• mounting bar;
• telescopic working area;
• extendable dining table;
• high upper cupboards (to the ceiling).

Something required considerable costs something - hard work, but something in the end turned out to be superfluous. Therefore, none of the above options have not found use in our kitchen.

Specific tasks

It was not so difficult to choose the design and material as to find the optimal location for the entire kitchen utensils. In addition, it was necessary to place a large household appliances correctly:

• dishwasher - closer to the sources of water and drain,
• oven and hob - under the hood,
• all electrical appliances close to the outlet.

Important task was to determine the required size of cabinets and their location. In our case, each cabinet had planned direct appointment. The dimensions of some of the cabinets were chosen based on the size of dishes and kitchen utensils. So we got rid of the problem of irrational use of space.

As a result, we obtain a compact and fully equipped kitchen. Located at the top of cabinets for tableware, as well as for products. It also found its place microwave. At the edge of the remaining space for the three open shelves.

Beneath the hood placed hob and oven. Under the oven - drawer pans and trays. Between technique and the window - a small locker where chopper stores, mixer and other items.

Dishwasher is next to the sink. Under the sink - the trash and plenty of storage space for household items.

Interesting solutions in our kitchen

First - it is narrow drawers cabinets and mini-bar for a glass door, which are located at the bottom left of the sink.

There was an option to leave this blank wall and hang the TV here, but we just did not have enough storage space. This part was decided to narrow down, in the end it turned out 42 cm. This depth of the cabinet is enough to put there a large bowl for cooking.

The bottom drawer - for pots, the average - for containers, the top - for cutlery.

A narrow worktop is full working surface.

Second - retractable waste containers. This set we saw in the store, and immediately turned it into a project. Retractable basis creates additional convenience.

Third - an imitation of the bar. At the edge of the bar, we decided to put a tube with shelves for fruits and glasses. It is functionally similar to the rack, and that we both wanted to see in our kitchen.

Fourth - the drawer above the refrigerator. It serves as a repository for the rarely used utensils and appliances. This cabinet was very roomy.

Fifth - additional outlets. To be honest, they were not in demand. I liked the fact that they can be hidden by sliding down.

Remember that the kitchen - it is a universal place. Here we spend a lot of time: cook, eat, meet friends, spend time with family. Should not spare neither the time nor the means to create a cozy corner.
