When the smell is not fried
A serious problem at the time was the smell in the apartment: it turned out that the former owner rarely was walking his dog. Here it is, apparently, and defecate doorstep. And when the work was almost done, we were happy as children. Unpleasant smell is really gone! Floor did not creak. However, it seems that because of the thickness of the new floor boards slightly rose above previous levels. But this does not frighten us. Husband at that time already engaged in a bathroom: get rid of the old floor tiles and a layer of concrete. Filled level with the other part of the new wooden floor.

In general, the results were quite satisfied. However, here is what we recommend for the future:
• Decide on repair stages. Everything is interconnected, and mistakes at the beginning will lead to insidious consequences in the end. Eliminate them at the planning stage.

• Concrete screed - a great way to get rid of old floor and even increase the distance from the ceiling. Our new floor have a single height, it stands out only bathroom. There we have filled the floor level has a wooden floor, and did not alter.

• We recommend not to save money on the professionalism of the masters. A large part of the work arranged for us. But the final stage of leveling "liquid floor" hastily spoiled weight effect. Unevenness was visible to the naked eye.

• Rough screed has caused problems with the laying of laminate. The living room is still in some places it sags when walking. Exit - to lay carpet. The main thing is that a year has passed: nowhere swollen and parted. When laying linoleum in the hallway and in the kitchen - it is easier. Although unevenness in the floor still show through, and visible places.
