Made repairs in the apartment and this time decided to change the door. We had, of course, a little tricky... In the first place, it was necessary to remove the old ones.

I took off the door hinge leaf (door). Hacksaw on wood, in two places, in the middle of the right and left, sawed door frame. With mount, remove it from the wall of the opening. I started with dismantling of the side portions, where slits were then removed and the upper part of the threshold. After cleaning the doorway from the old plaster solution, dust and nails, carefully cleaned from recess threshold. Then proceeded to install new interior doors.

Installing the door

On a level floor put a new box, which put on top of the door leaf. On all sides, between the frame and the canvas, leaving a gap of 2 mm, and then cut off the protruding part of the box. In this case, the lower part of the cut so that it came into the recess in the floor, remaining after removal threshold. Depending on what will be covered further in the floor, leaving a gap between the box and the floor of 5-10mm.

After trimming the box proceeded to install the hinges. To do this, from the edges of the door at the top and bottom indent 15cm, attached to the door hinges, and outlined with a pencil. With a chisel and a hammer, I made the sample to a depth of the thickness of the metal hinges.

If you put the noose deeper, when closing the door, it will turn out, if you put smaller, will remove the gap, and the door will not close.

Thereafter, screws, hinges attached to the door, making sure that the screws went straight up.

If the screw is screwed in crooked, it will stick out and the door will turn out!

Then did the same operation on the box. To do this, putting the door on the box measured a place where you want to install the loop. The box set with hinge sleeve bridged, and on the doors - with a recess. After that, I started assembly of the box.

In the box on the right and the left, spun by two screws, to get in shape U-scapular. I set it in the doorway, and at the top of both sides fixed with wooden pegs. The door frame put the support rails, cut to size. When installing the boxes in the doorway, I use level.

It is important that the upper part lying on the vertical part of the box!

I then proceeded to install the door handle.

At the height of 100-120cm from the floor, drill 8mm drilled hole in the door, and put into it "pin" and then on both sides clocked door handles. After that set the door on hinges. After closing the door, between the box and the door leaf inserted insertion of 2mm (using strips of plywood). On the perimeter, between the wall and a box zapenil with foam. In this state, the assembly left until the morning.

If you leave the door open or to insert padding between the frame and the door leaf, the foam deforms the expansion box and the door will not close!

The next day, cut the foam was made by a knife. The place where the threshold has been embedded Ceresit solution on the floor level. Then proceeded to install the casing.

Using corner 45% measured a casing from the floor to the top of the box, and cut it. The same procedure was done, and on the other side of the door. In the upper part of the box by measuring the distance from corner to corner, cut the casing on both sides at 45%.

Thereafter, nailed it to the box, using long thin carnations on 20mm, who bit off clippers caps.

I chose the paint colors - walnut, creates a matte surface. Painting produced a special brush for varnish, gaining little by little, and the well-smeared paint on the surface of the door to keep the picture on the canvas. I painted door twice until you get rich and dark color. Before painting, close up masking tape hinge, door handle removed. Each paint layer was applied without stopping, that was not visible transitions.

Finally! Since I was in the bathroom tile and linoleum in the hallway, at the junction of them in the doorway, I installed nut.

To do this, measure the doorway and on the size of the cut nut. After making a drill recess in the floor, I put them in the dowels, screws and nut screwed to the floor. So, I get a nice transition from linoleum flooring!
