Building a house (preparation for masonry walls)

My husband again incredibly lucky to live on a street where most neighbors live almost like a family. Yes, in this family, as well as in any other, there are insults, quarrels, misunderstandings. But, at the moment when someone needs help - everything is forgotten, and we're together again.

When it's time to raise the walls of our homes, it was ready to assist almost the entire male population of our small street. And so it was. Someone helped tips, someone physically - in the side no one left. Slowly but surely, our house wall grew up.

Still in the design, we knew that the walls of our houses will be of aerocrete. The material we chose, because he had to have a number of advantages. The first is of course the speed of construction. block size - 30 * 20 * 60 cm is very attractive in comparison with brickwork. Another advantage of aerated concrete - block weight. The final load on the foundation is smaller than in the brickwork. As well aerated concrete walls easily finish due to the fact that the unit has good geometry. After sanding the wall blocks out very smooth.

Of course, there is this material and demerits. Aerated concrete - stone cold. To live comfortably in a house be sure to decorate the exterior wall insulation. The foam is not necessary (it has a low water vapor permeability). It would be the best mineral or rock wool. Us this work is yet to be, but we will certainly do it.

We chose the aerated concrete blocks are a local manufacturer - Vasyurinskaya plant "VKBlok". Our neighbors a year ago built a house out of blocks of the manufacturer. We watched it. We are satisfied with the quality of the unit, we said: "No good - no good looking", and ordered eight pallets to start laying.

Preparatory work must be approached very seriously. The first thing my husband did - taped waterproof under all future walls. Waterproofing used roll, I stuck it on the asphalt mastic. This operation he had had done on the previous stages of construction. Personally, to me, he received the honorary title "Honored waterproofing Russia."

Tool for laying aerocrete used almost the same as when laying bricks. There are only small differences. To work with gas concretes will need: rubber mallet, wall chaser, square, Hacksaw aerated concrete, and a device for the grinding unit.

By the time this photo was taken, we have already given to friends and square wall chaser. We have so accepted - to give to others what you do not need to yet. Suitable for sanding husband has made himself, the nominal float us seemed too expensive for such a simple thing.

The first row of blocks is laid on the husband cement mortar which is used when bricklayers masonry. For the rest of masonry he used a special glue for EU aerated concrete (Ekaterinodar mixture) Krasnodar producer. Quality glue, he was pleased, and now recommends it to friends. In this brand at a sufficiently low price - good quality.

All preparatory work husband safely finished. Now you can proceed directly to the masonry walls of our house.
