After the wedding, my husband and I decided to renovate an apartment donated by parents. We started with the main honeymoon rooms - bedrooms.

As the saying goes, you can not complete the repair, and you can only stop. For 9 years we have started to repair the bedroom 4 times. They painted the walls in different colors, from turquoise to peach, rearranging furniture, lighting changed. And each time the result was resentment. As true lovers of minimalism ideas, we wanted to make the room all the furniture, put on the floor a high mattress and nothing else do not load the bedroom. But then immediately the question arose: what to do with clothing, linens and bedding, which found refuge in the dresser and closet?

Our high-rise building built in a semicircle, and in the construction of storage rooms have been designed in every room. They are made in a very uncomfortable form of an acute triangle. That is, to get into the far corner is very problematic. Therefore, storage in the bedroom was a triangular space with several shelves on either side and is practically used space in the corner. She could not cope with the problem of storage of winter and summer wardrobe, not to mention the bedding and other textiles. The door to the center of the wall in the bedroom leading to the pantry, looked strange and absurd. The room seemed to pass the visual. A large wardrobe and a chest of drawers made it close.

What could be worse than the creaking bed in the bedroom?

On the bed we were not lucky. Squeaky sofa replaced the expensive bed of solid oak, but the eerie creak appeared a year later. And we were so tired from this squeaking, that during the repair just got rid of the bed. Just put a mattress on the floor. Then suddenly came a great idea - to make the podium and put a mattress in it.

My practical idea to place in the podium drawers for linen was immediately rejected such a complication design could return to our room nasty creak. When we were talking about the size of the podium, we decided not to waste time on trifles - a podium constructed for a mattress 2 meters by 2 meters.

A new problem - all the sheets have become small, to find the right size is very difficult, so I had to sew new ones on order. For our version of the bed were the most comfortable bed sheets with an elastic band.

After a lot of alterations had a clean and comfortable room, not overloaded with unnecessary pieces of furniture. In fact, only bed left in it. Cleaning a room, you can do every day, without straining: in the space under the podium almost no dust. Of course, in the dressing room can be a mess, but it hides a beautiful butterfly from prying eyes.
