A place to live (finish inside
It's time to talk about how we were doing interior decoration of our small home. I would like to dwell on material that we trimmed ceilings.
In the old house, we have removed all the plaster from the ceiling. Beneath it were quite sturdy planks that were there from the 53rd of the year. They no trace of rot was observed. The roof over the rough ceiling was backfilled with clay. This seemed to us not enough, and we poured on the clay expanded clay layer 20 cm. The optimal solution for finishing the ceiling became drywall. On board staple gun fastened insulation film.
Crate made of bar 50 * 50 mm. Between the bars of crates paved rolled insulation. About him want to say more. Working with this material is very difficult. It breaks, when it begins to unfold. As a result, after installation, hanging from the ceiling is not very aesthetically pleasing rags. Its reliability as a heater causes me serious doubts. We had ample roof insulation. But those who are going to use it as the base material for thermal insulation, I would not advise to do it. All further warming we've done with the help of stone wool with resilient margins. ceiling picture of a roll insulation clearly show its flaws.
And as parogidroizolyatsii we first used the membrane "Yutafol". On it, too, I can not say anything good. This material looks as synthetic burlap gray. Their negative qualities she showed already in the installation phase. Because of the network structure diverges steplerovke material. First, there are small holes. When "Yutafol" begins to stretch - holes increase in size. We have about a year in the attic of this waterproofing was stretched under the rafters. Tests have shown that in a year the material crumbled into dust at the slightest touch. Do not skimp on the insulation. Better to buy "Izospan" or "Ondutis". They price-quality ratio is quite acceptable. Our ceilings we sewed up sheetrock, the seams between the sheets I lined filler "Volma".
As a finishing putty I used VETONIT LR +. It does not apply to low-cost materials. Its advantages: ease of application, a white color, sanding. Ceiling after application "vetonita" looks rovnenko and white as an egg. It remains only to paint in the desired color.
The ceiling in the annexe was made as plasterboard, but as the crates have been used metal profiles for the drywall. Easier to work with them than with wooden bars. Bars "play" in thickness, they are not perfectly aligned. Much time is spent on the "fit" level. Profile rovnenky as an arrow. In addition, suspensions for height adjustment, and connection crabs greatly facilitate the installation of the profile. If the choice between the bar and the metal profile, my opinion is clearly in favor of the latter.
As insulation, we used stone wool. The thickness of one plate - 5 cm. We stacked them on top of each other in a staggered manner. Overall insulation layer was 15 cm. Practice has shown that such a layer sufficient to heat retention in winter cold. The annexe was dry and warm, even when we were abnormal for the Krasnodar Territory in the 27-degree frosts.
For the putty seams between sheets of drywall, I used VETONIT KR. Working with him I liked it more than a "Volma". Applied and leveled "Vetonit" easily, almost effortlessly. With a little skill, to cope with the application of the putty can anyone. The result of the work we were satisfied. The ceiling has turned smooth and beautiful.
Should move on. The house had to do the floors, walls, bathroom, kitchen. Work is not diminished. But the dream is made to move forward.
