Moreover, I enjoy swimming in almost any body of water - be it sea, ocean, lake, river, creek or pond most simple. We have a lot of land in the village, house, farm. And all of this is located on the ravine. Several times we went to the village council and led negotiations to buy out the gully and that is over a ravine on the other side. But they refused, arguing that this exclusion zone, a draw and nobody can be in the future. Well, we sighed and went back home. And by the way we do decide to use a ravine for their own purposes.

Loving my husband proposed to dig a pond in a ravine, so that I could swim there. Three workers were digging a recess week rectangular length of eight and a width of six meters. Coming from the city for the weekend, I caught a terrible picture: a terrible pit and clay and earth out of this hole washed ashore anywhere. None of the workers landed me in the ravine daylilies were not interested. I swore loudly and stamped her feet, but the color did not return. But back to the topic of the creation of the reservoir. The first year, when the reservoir was filled with beautiful, clear water, I always bathed there. Water temperature does not rise above 18 degrees, so as pond located in a depression on the bottom of the gully. But me this water fit perfectly. And not just me! Many who came to visit us, to enjoy pleasure pond. So it passed the first summer with the emergence of "pools". But then the problems started. In the first winter I had the first crack in the wall of the reservoir. Also had to seal the pipe for drainage to keep the water there. Pond obmelchal a bit, but the water remains good, and we kept it to splash and swim. Yet the following summer was dry, there was no rain in the pond water is left on the ankle, it settled a large number of frogs in the water blossom, about bathing and speech could not be. But we still went down to the pond, where escaped from the heat: in a valley near the water is always cool and pleasant. In the summer, it became clear that the pond as a swimming pool, we will not return.
How do we use the pond for today
The pond is still in the ravine, the water there is something more, some less, use it for watering plants on the site. In winter, the pond is covered with smooth ice and we skate on the tubing, gather on a sled with a ravine in the frozen pond, in general, have fun. Of course, I remember a time when I could go down the brick stairs to the pool and swim as much as necessary. But now we are happy to walk next to the invalid pool, wander along the shore, along the ravine, there are very nice.
I do not regret that we ever "done it", the more that still pond, and now brings some benefit. A daylilies I planted again.
