Transfiguration dull bathroom into a neat bathroom. Economical repair. The selection and purchase of materials.

In March 2018 I started an ambitious project: to repair one-bedroom "Khrushchev". Apartment with 90's give up, its general condition is not caused nothing but grief.

It was decided to begin repairs to the most unpleasant places in the apartment - shared bathroom. It housed an old cast-iron bathtub, some makeshift shelves and a new toilet seat - the only beautiful object in the entire apartment. On the floor of the old Soviet tiles in brick color on the walls of green oil paint, which became gray after so many years of ceiling tile and the typical "Khrushchev" window looking into the kitchen.

Wall and ceiling, it was decided to use a panel of PVC, due to their ease of installation, water resistance and cost-effectiveness. In addition, this material is allowed without difficulty to decorate a bathroom fitted with LED lights, and in general, provides a beautiful and tidy appearance. So, as the budget was very limited, it was decided to leave untouched the floor tile for better times.

For cast-iron bath for a long time crying mess, so it was decided to replace it with a new one. In a hardware store was acquired by shares elegant steel bath Spanish brand Roca, for a very reasonable 5,000 rubles. Apron covering the bottom of the bath, do not use, so it was decided to use it as the same wall panels PVC, thereby creating the impression of "incorporation" into the interior of the bath.

Since the bathroom was not a single outlet, I decided to set one between the toilet and the bathroom. Also, it was necessary to provide communication for the Gulf and drain the water from the washing machine. At least, it was necessary to conceal all pipes stretching for bathrooms, using a box, maintaining the technical ability to climb up there, if necessary.

Outlining a plan of action, it was purchased the following materials for finishing:

- Bruce 20h40mm carcass under the PVC panels, boxes and tubs apron.

- Sami PVC wall and ceiling panel in an amount sufficient to cover the entire area, plus one piece of each type of reserve.

- Special plastic profile PVC panels: Home, ceilings, internal and external corners.

- Electric type VVGng cable 3h2,5 round stranded wire 2h0,75 under LED lamps corrugation mounts it, the transformer 220 - 12b, two lamps, and socket Escutcheon.

- For plumbing work, a couple of pieces of multilayer pipes, flexible hoses, various valves and adapters, the drain hose to the washing machine.

- Fasteners for rack mounting: wall plugs, screws for wood, hangers, corner.

- Polyurethane foam, liquid nails, sealant, white paint and enamel radiator.

After calculation, the purchase and delivery of all necessary to the apartment, the next stage of the project: the dismantling and preparation of surfaces.
