Built house (what we would have done differently)

We started to build a house back in 2013. At the station 6 ar poured foundation 7 × 8. Since my husband is a builder, we have done all the work themselves (except for those that do not do without the help).

Blockhouse put a team of builders for 400 thousand rubles. The material we chose the pine, but the first crowns made from larch because of its strength. Other building materials are not considered, chose "breathable" house made of wood. In addition, with a range of in our small town there is a problem, and if we wanted to, for example, aerated concrete, we would have to go to the capital of the region, and this additional spending.

After shrinkage started plating: used for interior decoration plasterboard, to the outer - IZOSPAN (protection from water and wind), insulation and siding. Summed up the pipe to the central sewage system and recommend to do it with all those who have such an opportunity. Then you do not have to do pumping.

Boiler made underground. They dug a pit, concreted. This saves space on the site, as well as made it possible to provide annexe of 16 m2 (not yet built). We chose concrete because of its strength and availability, as built for the ages. The boiler is chosen with the possibility of heating of 100 m2, because in the future we plan to build out the second floor, so that children have enough space.

What would we have done differently

We regret that put the roof at once, because we were thinking about the second floor, but hurry. Next summer will have to disassemble it in order to continue the construction. This error we regret so far, and will need to alter documents. There is also a risk of damage to the exterior finish in the process of completion.

I would like to give advice based on personal experience: do the design of the house in advance, so as not to alter.
