When the opportunity to move from a city apartment "at will, in the Pampas", that is to say in the Cossack suburb, I started looking for housing, dreaming, of course, two-storeyed cottage luxurious garden fountains and a pair of high gates.

Money on the dream, as usual, was not enough. I had to look for other, low-budget option.

Photos low-budget options are not laid out on the sites of real estate services, we had to take the iron horse, and wander through the nearby stanitsas own.

There were, there were houses that fit and price, and location, but something about it was not that long already on the road one of the villages, I saw a small gray house that looked hopelessly in the way a broken socket window. That's right - stared, apparently tschas search out on the road of his good hosts, who had left him without a care, like an old dog. Particularly striking is a large piece of substrate, which tried to close the broken window, but she He slipped, and from a distance it looked like a house that is trying to cover up, shamefully hide from the eyes of their foreign orphanhood. How could drive past?!

And I suddenly became absolutely clear that the house is in need of our family! He really, really wants to be washed and caressed, made repairs, and let into a hubbub of children's voices, so that he can once again feel alive. And he, in return, will keep under the roof of the family fortune, which his "tame".

And this is sadly looked overgrown plot ...

But the house was bought!

After a couple of weeks after the purchase, when all the trash was taken out of the house and overgrown weeds were completely shaved trim, window openings were enlarged, and the house happily opened in a new plastic world windows.

Oh, and to suffer the same guys from the company by mounting the "plastic" in the old walls! But the work was done beautifully and accurately. As planned, in each of the rooms (there are two) have to be inserted in one giant box, but the weight of such Window walls exceeded the carrier opportunity, and then it was decided to insert two smaller windows in the butt joint.

I had to select a portion of the wall and to shift its cinder blocks, and on top of cast concrete beam. For everything it took about a week, but after, as the windows took their place, another team from the same company plastered the house, preparing it for painting.

Other work to give our home and residential area we kind with an older daughter and son have done themselves. The fact that the gate on our site are simply not there! More precisely, they were once (post-it were), but the "good people" leaf was removed and taken away somewhere. We had to buy on metalobaze suitable size. Gates brought and hung on the old loop. All is good, but very annoyed their shabby appearance and the large inscription above: "Custom furniture". And the phone. Not ours, of course.

While installers, builders are engaged in our home and its windows, all three of us, armed with iron brushes, tore off the old flaky paint peeling from the gate, then washed them, dried, primed...

After 4 days, the gate leaf turned into a huge artistic canvas to paint on.

As your garden, we still did not have, we decided that we will draw it yourself - at the gate.

They drew the usual enamel paints, adding if necessary in their color. Each contributes its mite, each worked on drawing with special diligence - this is our goal!

And they turned out really good! And most importantly - of no one! There are wooden and wrought-iron, have a thin metal rod and made of polycarbonate, a gate of corrugated and slate, but that's so bright, summer, hand-painted - just no one else!

Now there is the idea to turn the painted white walls of the house in something similar to create a gateway to a single harmonious composition.
