Construction of an underground concrete basement (cellar)

The task: to build underground concrete basement (cellar), which is the foundation of above-ground buildings.

Progress of work: Construction of an underground basement or cellar in the common task of responsible, since it requires performance-quality waterproofing structures in order to exclude the possibility of penetration of groundwater and surface water into the future the buildings. Additionally, when the cellar construction is necessary to provide sufficient structural strength which excludes its destruction by pressure action by the surrounding soil. Considering the above, construction and installation work should be carried out only on the basis of the developed project documentation, taking into account the above mentioned factors.

In this case, the work is also carried out strictly according to the design documentation. Below is a section of the underground basement of the working draft:

Initially, the site of the construction of the basement (cellar) was dug pit, equipped with sand and gravel airbag, which is laid over the waterproofing layer, providing an exception ingress of groundwater below:

After laying the waterproofing layer formed concreting a floor leveling layer which is laid on top of the floor frame reinforcing then filled with a concrete slab, the foundation (the floor):

After pouring the floor reinforcement cage made of walls of the future of the basement and mounted formwork:

Formwork installed on both sides of the walls, just the thickness of the walls of the future basement. After mounting the formed casting formwork walls underground cellars:

After concreting the walls of the basement and dry concrete, the inner formwork, hold the wall was dismantled to ensure the possibility of filling the cellar roof:

For the construction of the roof of the basement inside the box re-assembled formwork, only now for holding the roof plate, which is mounted on top of the reinforcing cage and pouring performed roof of the cellar:

According to project documentation basement design included two sections, so the side side of the main issues cellar fixtures were left to bind additional basement (cm. photo below). Dismantling the internal and external formwork main basement reinforcing cage arrangement holds more cellar section:

After the arrangement of the reinforcing cage, mounted shuttering and concreting performed additional basement structure:

Upon completion of all concrete work, formwork was dismantled, performed waterproofing external surfaces of basements, after which the pit was filled with:
