Saving rose in the "rotten" winter

click fraud protection

Everyone has their own method of "wraps", ie preservation of rose bushes for winter.

I represent concerns of those who closed the roses so that the cover removed is difficult or impossible until the spring and leave in such a form in our rotten winter - kill a rose before the onset of cold weather.

For the hundredth time I am convinced that my way of hiding roses on the most successful winter.

I made every pink bush welded support of the work of plastic (25 mm). Bought spunbond 200 g / m and imposed from above and spunbond fabric plastic bundles attached to the supports.

In the winter, when the suburbs were harmful to -11 roses, roses are securely covered spunbond. Already the middle of December, but the second week in winter costs sustained, plus daytime and a little less at night. And drastic changes are not expected in the near future.

No snow, outdoors overcast and sometimes a very fine rain.

Roses are elementary sopret under the fabric, and even worse, without ventilation at positive temperatures in the bushes may appear mold that your roses can "eat."

If roses cover my ways, then..

I each shelter as her skirt slightly lifted by 10 cm. from the ground, which made it possible to ventilate the bushes to get some roses.

If gidromedtsentr promises severe frosts, I "skirt" is omitted if the temperature will fluctuate at the level of -4 -2, then leave it as is, it will give an additional hardening bushes.

All elementary simple, but my conscience and soul will be calm, in the spring of my roses will bloom throughout the season, that I have them "not to rot," even before the onset of winter.

How's that for a way to keep the protection of roses?
