Why in villages in Russia still do not lock the door
When I moved to live in the village and was just starting to be built, I have not thought about what I'm going to put a door in the house.
Then, when the house is already built, it is shrunk, steel insert windows and doors. We are "on automatic" put all the windows made of plastic and metal doors. Well, what else did not install reinforced armored doors - either had no money, or brains worked.
Only after I have lived in the village for more than 3 years old, I realized, I did the fig metal doors set.
It's one thing to put that protection in the city, such as the rescue from the thieves, which is also not very convincing, but to put a metal door in a village... This is 1000% stupid.
1. Freezing. In winter, if the door without thermal break, then it will freeze and be covered with ice.
2. Heavy. The house is only a few years will settle, and no matter how you set the door will have to adjust. A lift such a weight to adjust the door, it is very difficult without assistance.
3. Expensive. The very cheap door is worth 20 000, plus shipping and installation. Wooden door is from 5000.

The village is 99% of the homes of wood. Houses with low cap that allows to get into the house through a window. The door, in principle, do not need, why tinker with locks, boarded house inherently open.
