Where can I find the most unusual house

As an ordinary person imagines unusual house? Perhaps as you like - but not in the form of a cactus! And so there is quite a - in the glorious city of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, you can easily find (and even live!) In the Urban Cactus.

This 19-storey creation of a couple of architects from the German Bureau UCX Architects accommodates almost a hundred apartments, equipped with open-air terraces. Each of these petals cactus up to two meters deep is a real gem of this strange, but no less attractive home.

And all this beauty has a very practical purpose (well, this is the Dutch with their pedantry!) - this way the architects have tried to achieve a good level of illumination of the space. After all, in their own climate Rotterdam no different ideal light conditions.

A misshapen-balconies petals, which feature a terrace, ensures the availability of sunlight - and make light of the master in this house.

In addition to this practical function, this unique skyscraper bears and another purpose: its terrace are also for landscaping the landscape. And they do an excellent job with this their function.

But a special highlight of the complex is an unusual small round pools on each of the benches - sure, everyone would like to soak in this!

While in the harbor, Urban Cactus fits perfectly into the surrounding reality, and local residents during the years of its existence can not imagine their city without this strange complex.

This model of the "Architecture of the Future" with no problems fit into the image of the city, and became its full-fledged tourist attraction, presenting an excellent example of ecological architecture. Certainly, that's what happiness looks - to swim in their own pool, while enjoying a spectacular view. Is not it?
