Last summer I bought welding machine. My experience in the welding work is zero, so I'm a little practice at first, making a small enclosure near the house, and is closer to the autumn began to implement his plan.

The first thing I decided to do is swing as my daughter has long dreamed about them. I was able to get a pipe length of almost 10 m and a diameter of 60 mm. On this pipe at the neighbor antenna for the TV was fixed. He wanted to saw it and pass on metal, but I asked him to change the tube on a ferrous metal. Without hesitation, he agreed, because what's the difference, that tug at the receiving point of scrap metal. I have a similar pipe near the house with the old fixed antenna, which I plan on this year also put to use, expanding the platform.

Two weeks later, the swing were ready (was already the middle of September), but the case dragged on with painting. First as a hands did not reach, and then the cold weather.

In the beginning, I sketched the drawing future swing on paper to choose the optimum size, as the saying goes, "Measure twice, cut once." Consider all sizes, I sawed in 5 pieces tube 4 tube 2 m (for the side parts) and a 1.8 m (the crossbar).

Thereafter, for the manufacture began legs (side portions). On a flat plot of land laid out two tubes of 2 m in the form of the letter "L", so that the distance between the legs at the bottom turned out 1.75 m. Then the top of the tack-welded legs, so they did not disperse, and at the bottom of a piece of 20 mm welded steel framework, nothing else was found.

Thereafter, the top piece of welded steel plate 5 mm thick (cut old large loop), so that the design was reliably. I apologize for the quality of the seams, but as I said, the experience in the welding work is almost there.

In a similar manner made a second side portion. Then at the bottom of each leg welded two fittings 40 cm perpendicular to them other pieces of armature and parts (which was handy) 15-20 cm. It is necessary to concrete legs.

Then I dug 4 holes, set them side parts (assisted by his wife), and filled them with concrete. Mess, of course, had to be pretty.

A few days later, when the solution is a bit gripped, I took up the post. As he tried to stand on the side of the level, they are still a little separated (the bottom was a distance of 1.68 m between them and the top 170), so I had to pull them together at the top of a rope. Thereafter, at the edges of the bar he picked up several points of welding and welded corners 3 3 cm.

When the structure was ready started to think how to hang the seat. The decision was such - Old gate loops I cut a round piece and sawed it in half.

And weld them to the bar's this way.

First welded at one half the loops at a distance of 45 cm from each other. Then I cut two pieces of smooth reinforcement (10 cm) and are welded to each circuit. Then I put them in the loop and only then welded together halves of the hinge. If it is not very clear, see my video.

The seat is made from a conventional automobile tires. I Took 4 M8 bolts and nuts welded to them. Then I put them in the chain. To do this, cut the links of the chain grinder and then welded them back.

To connect the seat with chains I did not cut the links, but just hung everything on hooks. Very convenient way out, you can adjust the height.
