Manufacturing option template guide to the router from scrap materials
Fraser, who is in my studio copying bush is not staffed. Yes, and there was no need to use a sleeve.
When there is a need in the template guide, I decided to do it yourself.
First I tried 6mm plywood.
In general, it worked, but the site of attachment to the Fraser were very much flimsy. Then I decided to do something more reliable. In the attic I found an old broken appliances to a suitable dural plate.
From this plate, I cut the base template guide. Carved by a modified drill "Ballerina". About this revision can be see here.
Circle cut, drilled holes for the sleeve and for its fastening.
As used bushing scrap kitchen roof rail 16 mm in diameter. It turned out to insert is very tight, but still missed extra super glue.
In general, it turned out to make a good working template guide.
You can also watch a short video in which I speak of what and how to do it.
It turned out to give a second life to old technology, though partial :)
Another part of this technology went into production of clamps with a clamp stop. The device and clamps drawings see here.
