Another homemade clamp made of wood

This type of clamp is quite common. They are easy to make with your own hands. And they have a useful feature.

At the base of the clamp bar I used 35x45 mm cross section and 650 mm long. On one side of the bar is glued short bar and two laths of 8 mm plywood therein drilled hole and fixed furniture pile nut.

The threaded rod with a handle and a clamp for clamping the backgauge.

That's the whole device.

Proceedings stud is about 70 mm. At the bottom side a number of drilled holes and the backstop is fixed through these holes wooden dowels.

So what's a useful feature of this clamp?

The whole thing, just in the side holes. Through these openings clamps can be joined together during assembly and use of overall manufacturing.

When the size of the bar base 650 mm I turned to clamp the articles about a meter wide.

It is also possible to manufacture a separate bar with holes along the edges and thus increase the length of the clamp more.
