Holder for photo "Owl". Doing their own hands.

Recently wife bought a nice little thing - the holder for photos in the form of an owl. I liked this thing and I decided to try to make it with their own hands. Today I'll show you all stages of their work.

To begin, I drew silhouette of owls, painted eyes with beak and heart (all in duplicate) on a sheet of plywood 4 mm thick. For base took a piece of board thickness of about 1.5 cm, on which circle around the two.

Then, using the scroll-saw machine, I started cutting out all the parts. If you do not have such a machine, you can use a hand jigsaw or nichrome cutter.

Had to tinker a bit with the eyes of an owl, it was too little detail, but I managed, and here all parts are ready.

After that sandpaper put away all the flaws and polished details. It is very convenient to do it with sticks of various widths glued sandpaper.

When all the details are polished, you can start gluing all the parts, using PVA glue. To parts stuck together well, it is better to put them on something heavy.

While the details have to stick together to cook the leg, which will fasten the base with an owl and he holder for photos. For legs I took a simple nails, and for the holders decided to use copper wire of 2.5 mm in cross-section.

We have to bite the nail with pliers hat. In principle, instead of nails, you can use a hard wire, but I have not found this.

Next, I spiral twisted copper wire and finally got here these two holders.

When the parts have dried well and stuck together, it is necessary to drill two holes owl: below (for the legs) and from above (for the carrier).

Now drill hole in the ground and insert brad. If you turn out the hole a little bit more than you need, just drip into them a little glue.

And at the end of our owl perching on the top of the leg and fasten the bracket. I decided to further cut small circles out of black paper and glue them on the eyes, to make it look more expressive.
