It flooded the entire basement. What happened to my gas concretes?
After different days in April, the beginning of nature are increasingly upset by rainy weather. This is not a problem when everything in moderation, and from time to time.
❗ But a few rainy days in a row I have brought a new surprise.
Pool on my construction site.
Of course with the volumes I exaggerated, but even 5 cm standing water delivered to their difficulties.
In general, I thought that this could occur. The only thing I did not realize - this unevenness of its foundation slabs. Because of this, and there were these local bodies of water.
Excess dirt and inconvenience in the work - this stuff, which you can handle. Most of all I was worry
Aerated soaking.
Especially at the bottom.
Dampness blocks the top evaporate very quickly. But underneath the unit absorbed the entire volume of water being pas floor.
What will become of strength?
I looked and saw the information for complacency:
What 1️⃣ strongly green state block has a maximum strength below 15%. But after drying, the strength is fully restored.
2️⃣ only thing that can badly affect - it's freezing of aerated concrete in such a state. But the cold for a long time will not.
So here I am calm.
But to err is necessary.
Yet look at it can not be quiet, and the water, as far as possible you need to get rid of. Drilling holes in masonry, to drain water, I did not want to.
So I decided to sacrifice his cellar.
After the winter floods, I have had time to dry, but it seems too early. In my situation - it was a great place for receiving rainwater.
🔽 For this the first thing I dismantled one of the boards, fencing hole. And now, the excess water can drain away easily.
🔼 and opened a hole of one of the mortgages under water.
Most of the water was gone immediately. For me the main thingSo it does not accumulate on the stove in a large volume, which is a very long time to evaporate.
✅ Just a few days of sunshine, and the presence of such a quantity of water is not a trace remains.
