A simple device for conveyers, to cut the same parts.

I quite often have to cut the same parts. it often cutting dowels. I made as blanks for cutting furniture handles and balusters.

About furniture handles will be a separate publication.

So that's comfortable enough to do it using a circular saw on a sled.

Two variants slicing identical parts

A first embodiment - as shown above - is obvious, but in this case the boring machine from the saw fly quite unpredictable. (As it happens can see at the end of the article)

And they fly because the reverse movement of the carriage already cut dowel is clamped between the saw and the limiter.

There is a second option - for markup. Line marking is done directly on the slide. In this case, nothing is pinched and dowels do not take off, but the accuracy is lame.

For dowels accuracy is not very important, but for other products is important.

But there is a solution and it is quite simple.

Cutter pattern

This is a very simple device and it consists of only two parts.

This is one L-shaped bar and a normal bar. The first bar should be set at the desired distance, and the top of the second lock bar so that the first bar is rested in it its L-shaped portion.

Further workpiece to be cut is fed to the abutment fixed right hand and left hand lower bar is put aside.

Now you can safely cut anything and do not fly off. Then in the same way - the lower the bar back into place, the workpiece rests in it, the bar is retracted and again cut piece measured length.

More clearly you can see in the video clip, there is shown as a fly away parts at the fixed stop.
