It so happened with the construction of my house.

In general, I thought to put a foundation and a box at home for one season. But I specifically miscalculated with time. Or rather, I could not imagine how many will take time, since such an experience I just had. It turned out that by the late autumn I I was ready only the foundation.

And the question arose about the winter foundation.

Or rather, it was necessary to take all measures to protect it from all external environmental influences.

The main thing has been done in the early stages of construction.

proper, in my opinion, construction technology initially eliminates major problems, even with a bare foundation, without a home.

Pillow foundation.

Sand knowingly used in construction. Well compacted it retains its spatial position, and even temporary humidification, quickly gets rid of the water. This ability makes it "nepuchinistym" ground. But in practice, not everything is perfect.

For example, I was the sand, so to speak "not perfect" (I wrote about it here) .Lyubye foreign matter, such as clay, and even more so, the land retain water much stronger.

Therefore, you must provide the following:

Drainage around the house.

This measure is still required at a high level of groundwater (just my case). About all the nuances of laying drainage I have already described.

In principle, it is sufficient for the preservation of the foundation.

But my has one feature:

As I have said, pouring concrete I made in late autumn, when it was the possibility of light frosts during concrete maturation.

Here we need a comprehensive work.

• Keep warm foundation for maturation.

• Protect from autumn precipitation. Since the water soaked into the foundation upon freezing will destroy the concrete.

All this I have provided a simple solution.

Of course this in a figurative sense, it is important performing the necessary functions.

I covered the foundation of one layer of the film immediately after the concrete is poured.

After the concrete has risen (without removing the formwork), put through the gap, the boards over the entire length and width.

And on top of hedgehog closed film layer.

Moreover, the end of the film I was not secured at the top, and on the ground, stepping back another meter from the base, just at the base of the supports form walls.

All joints of the film were glued with adhesive tape, while the land sprinkled the ground for a better seal.

The result was a two-layer vacuum flask.

So, I read about that at all time concrete maturation(Especially in the near term) generates heat by chemical reaction. And given the size of the foundation, it temlo will persist long enough.

Throughout November special frost was not, and for a month, I think, the main strength of the concrete is scored. And then heavy snow began to further all have warmed.
