7 Commandments after moving from Moscow to the country: how to deal with local
In 2014, my wife and I moved from Moscow to the village in the Kaluga region. Left the apartment the children, while they themselves have bought land on 10 acres, it was built on a house of 88 sq.m. from foam blocks (in my opinion, the best in the village) and now live there.
On weekends, the children sit on the car and come to us with their grandchildren, so that we ourselves are not hermits feel. And the children now have where to escape from the metropolis to relax in nature - here and an apiary and a forest and a river nearby - feast for the eyes.
But now people in Moscow and in the country vary greatly. So I have made for myself 7 important conclusions of the dialogue with the local:
1) The higher the fence - the stronger neighbor friendship.
The less envious eye can see, as in "Muscovites" all is well - the better.
2) You can not take a village to au pairs
In Moscow, people are accustomed to work - otherwise not survive, and in the village all struck me as lazy and drink lovers.
3) Need an employee - look in the district center.
There often come across hard-working comrades able to work on the conscience and the result.
4) Fans keep away freebies.
Wife planted radish - a curiosity for both local neighbors lined up, so she gave them a try. Who did not give - mortally offended and stopped to greet.
5) Put the video camera around the perimeter
Local steal everything that is bad: sand, schebonku, concrete blocks, boards, cutting cable, pipe insulation ...
6) Provide its water itself.
Burite well - you can not depend on the local public utilities - water you can wait a month - no one moved.
7) The wicket should be closed at all times.
Does not demonstrate the availability of the dwelling, the garden, the property. Demonstrate the only force.
