Simple table to select a heater
Hello travelers, builders begin!
The construction season is coming to an end, I hope you have time to build all that was planned (share successes in the comments).
Winter is coming, so it's time to explore the materiel - and to help you is a table that illustrates the effectiveness (or ineffectiveness) of heaters and wall materials.
The main feature - compared to the thickness of the walls.
And the idea of creating this table, I pushed one wiseacre reasoning in the comments about the fact that there is no better insulation of expanded clay ...
Table of thermal conductivity of materials:
How to read the table?
right of the material thickness indicated in millimeters.
80 mm = 160 mm polyurethane polystyrene = 200 mm = 548 mm mineral wool timber keramzita = 640 mm = 800 mm aerated and so on.
What I want to draw your attention:
- all we used to insulate the house with mineral wool, but look: polyurethane 2.5 times more efficient than mineral wool!
- many good things written about the thermal efficiency of aerated concrete, but in fact even a house of wood is warmer than aerated concrete!
