What do the numbers and letters on the cement?
Virtually none of the global construction idea is not without the use of concrete and its main component - cement. The correct choice of cement depends on the strength and durability of the structure is being built.
Markings on the cement is regulated by GOST 31108
(Adopted in 2003).
On the packaging of cement are indicated as letters and figures that give information about the composition of the cement mixture and its specific characteristics. We will understand with both parts.
B - early strength cement;
SS - sulphate (used in the construction of hydraulic structures);
VRTS - Waterproof expanding;
submarine - cement with a plasticizer (the most common additive - freezeproofAllowing pouring concrete at low temperatures);
BC - cement for decorative cladding of buildings;
H - standardized, with the addition of clinker.
What do the numbers on the packaging of cement?
Roman I: cement without additives
Rome II: blended cement
In cement group II There are two subgroups:
A - a mixture with 6-20% impurities
B - a mixture of 21-35% of impurities
After specifying the subgroup (A / B) should be the type of the additive (eg. W - slag).
At the end of the numbers should be in the range of 22,5-52,5, meaning the strength of the cement.
