Working with decorative moldings of polystyrene requires a little patience and precision. For gluing slats used different materials, but this time it is fixed on the finish putty, and brown. Another, alas, is not promised.
Consumption of putty about 1-1.5 kg per 10 meters of moldings.
Bonding occurs before wallpapering, since the wallpaper paste baseboard difficult due to irregularities on the walls, causing large gaps. And if you begin to move away the wallpaper, baseboards, too, fall off.
Special devices for cutting corners do not use, because I manage only a knife with a replaceable blade and customized on site. Someday I'll write about pruning alone, and now focus on bonding.
How to glue the plinth at the ceiling?
Trim strips performed at 45 degrees in a direction away from the corner when it is applied to the wall (seen in the direction of cutting photo 3). Skirting smear prepared putty with spatula. First nanoshu finishku on one side of the entire length, then the other. How much material should be applied can be seen in the second picture (
photo 2).Important. To glue on plaster moldings can only be achieved if the room temperature is always more or less stable. However, if it falls a few days to +5... + 10 degrees, the plinth is likely to soon fly away. The apartments are usually no such problems, so pasting safely.
Prepared plinth glue to the ceiling along the entire length (photo 4). It is desirable to squeeze it all at once, though not much, so as not to fall, and then gradually stand on the corner and press down against the wall and ceiling, without fear that the filler will come out to the outside.
Excess putty with pridavlivaniya fill all the bumps, and the one that was on top, take off my finger longitudinal motion along the edges and wipe the baseboard and the wall with a wet cloth.
On 5 photos plinth has glued and wiped out. Smeared on the wall putty is not a problem - I'll paint it, together with the skirting and ceiling.
At the junction also slightly smear spatula and then wipe away the excess. Even if the angles slaughtered not too sure, putty to fill the gaps and then be painted together in the plinth.

At the final second picture already painted moldings and ceiling yet. Looks nice and brown coat problems are not created, so that everything is OK!
