Guess which of the heel? Do not believe it!
Noticed that the boots worn off printed cloth! The point seems commonplace. Ahn, no, it only seems that way. They look simple, imported from Europe, they waste their their best, 5 years, and maybe more, so it's time to repair. But...
Before taking off the taps thought it would have to trim the heel, which is on one Skorohodov erased with heels. He seemed too rigid, plastic, even planned his sandpaper or grind grinder.
When removed the old taps, under it I saw traces of glue on the basis of what is natural. And then there was a layer conventional gray-yellow paper. It was thought it better to overlay on the heel held. But when I started to take the paper, I realized that was deeply wrong! As it turned out the whole heel was made of PAPER!!! Over its entire height! Conventional pressed paper, even nothing ne soaked. Believe me? I poked around and could not explain how the paper could take many years, not raskisnuv in water, do not exfoliate, and finally, not lounging? And after all, what did the manufacturer simply treated with a preservative heel on the sides! The only interesting?
Understanding what was happening, even decided to slightly reduce the height of the heel and tried to remove a layer of paper with a sharp knife. What happened can be seen in the picture.
Took more convincing dug a little this wonderful shoe and once again convinced that it real paper, with plain, layered, used to make boxes and packaging, but good Pressed. I density somewhere around 800-1000 kg / m3, like a good laminate.
Coming out of the trance, cut new rubber heels, strip them, smeared with glue, then apply glue on a paper base, a little dry and pressed. Later pozabival nails for reliability. Nails in the paper, by the way, it is better kept than the rubber. So, I think, still run about!
Here is a history that has once again reminded that all genius is well, very easy!
