Why in my house now as 10 years there is no electric kettle

Very often confronted with the fact that people do not see the kitchen kettle, start asking questions - where is he?

In my kitchen this kettle is not already 10 years and is unlikely to emerge soon. I remember many years ago when electric kettles were super-trend, and find the device felt obliged to practically everyone, I also bought.

He worked for me for a long time. But during its existence, I realized one thing - to boil the water for gas is much more profitable.

I have gas in the apartment, it is much cheaper than electricity. Yes, kettle boil faster. But its use in the house, where there is gas in households simply forms a new habit and whims - I do not want to wait until the kettle starts to boil on the stove, including electrical.

In fact, in the boiling 3-liter kettle on gas leaves not much time - 10-12 minutes, provided a good gas pressure and the use of large burners. I specifically pinpoint.

For example, getting up in the morning, I immediately put the kettle on the stove and then go wash. While treatments do morning - hot water ready.

I have absolutely no cheapskate and I save every penny. In my house there is a microwave, which is really useful for me, other devices, from which I can see the real sense. But in the operation of the electric kettle, I just do not find meaning. No.

In addition, if the tea is cheap and made of plastic, it can be a long time to keep the smell of plastic, which spoils the taste of water.

Of course, there are times when off the gas for emergency reasons. But on this account I have an old Soviet boiler. Such cases it is no more than 2-3 per year, and buy for the sake of tea, keep it in the closet - also there is no need.

I believe that with a stable flow of gas into the flat kettle is not a necessity. It is simply a handy device that you add extra digits in the electricity bill.

Of course, only you can decide you need this item of household appliances or not. My article is addressed to a greater extent in support of those who agrees with me on this issue and feels uncomfortable when someone says - "And how do you live without a kettle ?!".
