How a Long Nut and Two Bolts Can Save Hours of Time
Hello, friends.
Today there are some news about the development of the channel and a little useful stuff.
I moved away from construction - I work at a computer. But my hands are itching to tinker with something. I got the idea to assemble a jigsaw and start sawing: wooden toys, puzzles, crafts for interior decoration, etc. I want to master a new hobby.
The first location for the mini-workshop is the loggia. Fortunately, it is insulated and there are all the conditions for this. He brought, as it seemed to me, all the necessary tools. I just forgot that several parts of the future machine need to be threaded. The tap, of course, was not at hand.
Went to the nearest hardware store. There are taps, but the holder was not available. Turning the tap with a wrench or pliers is not my case. Looking for a holder at other hardware stores or going to the garage on purpose - to lose a couple more hours of time. The very elongated nut with bolts helped out.
I already had the bolts at home, and I bought the nut in the same store where I took the tap. I drilled a hole in the center of the nut slightly larger than the diameter of the tap - consider the holder ready. We insert the tap into the hole, tighten it with bolts and you can cut the thread. The device is convenient, both centering and rotating. And here I have the main question for you.
I will finish the jigsaw in the near future. I hope everything works out. And even if not, I'll buy a factory one. This topic became very interesting to me. Accordingly, a new content format will appear. I just don't know how best to deal with him.
Leave this channel purely a construction channel and share with you the observations on the topic of construction gained over the years? Create a separate channel for carpentry and crafts? Combine joinery and construction on this channel? Re-qualify this channel as a home carpentry channel?
