How to remove rust from any surfaces?
A leaking toilet cistern in a couple of weeks is sure to reward you with a "rusty trickle" inside your ceramic friend's cavity. Or, if water stagnates in the bath for a long time, the result will be the same - in the air, iron will precipitate, and you will get traces of rust.
To wash off rust from absolutely any surface, be it faience, ceramics or tiles, I use a solution of two simple substances.
The first is a 10% solution of ammonia.
This remedy costs 15-17 rubles and is in every pharmacy. It is usually used to bring patients to consciousness due to its pungent odor.
The second agent is hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).
Peroxide perfectly disinfects and is an antiseptic. It costs 12 rubles in the pharmacy.
We mix in a 2: 1 ratio - two parts of ammonia to one part of peroxide. Mix in a glass dry dish. At first pour in peroxide, then - ammonia.
Apply the mixture to a cloth and in rubber gloves rub it with a rusty mixture. After 15 minutes, wash off with water, and the rust is gone!
Important addition:
today I tried the method described above myself, but the ammonia solution turned out to be more powerful - the smell is fierce in the whole bathroom, so open the windows right away and if you have a respirator, work in it!
I liked the method - like it, they help the development of the channel!
Good luck!
