Every resident of a country house or summer resident is familiar with the problem - mice or rats penetrate the house and devour food supplies. Not only is it unhygienic, it's also unpleasant.
Therefore, I invite all men to attend to this problem, and I ask you to send this article to your men. Here I will tell you what foam do not mice gnawwhere you can buy it or make it yourself.
Why do mice gnaw on foam?
I will not hold your attention for a long time, and I will write only the most important thing you need to know:
- rodents' teeth grow all their lives and "itch", so they gnaw everything, including foam and concrete;
- intuitively, mice feel that a warm room and food can wait for them behind the foam;
We figured out the theory, let's move on to practice (see. second section)
How to fill up mouse holes?
From 2012 to 2014, a special foam was sold on the construction market, which, by the way, was invented by Soviet engineers who left for France in the 90s. It was called penofluse. The main feature of the foam was that it had a disgustingly bitter taste due to chemical additives.
For humans, foam is harmless, but for mice and rats they die from it.
Now, because of the sanctions, foam is not imported to Russia, so you can order it only in online stores.
I suggest making an analogue of such foam with your own hands!
We need:
- any polyurethane foam;
- broken glass (ideally from Ilyich's bulbs);
- ammonia and mint tincture from a pharmacy (price - up to 50 rubles);
It's simple:
1) mix mint with ammonia;
2) with a syringe we spray the place that we will foam;
3) slightly foaming the entrance (3-4 cm);
4) not yet solidified foam fast sprinkle with broken glass;
5) move on and repeat the same points.
The result is a layer of foam that cannot be chewed on:
- mint with ammonia are bitter;
- glass does not allow to gnaw;
