Crack appearing? I tell you how to save a broken part: the main thing is to stop the crack in time

Cracks are unpredictable phenomena. It seems that the bucket barely hit, but a crack has already appeared on it. Over time, she parted and the new bucket literally split in two. You have to throw it away.

The bucket is the most harmless example. Anything can crack: a decorative cover or panel in a car, your favorite blender, a laptop case etc. Here we will think three times before going to the urn.

If after the impact a small crack appears, you must act immediately! It's easier to stop it right away so that you don't have to throw things away or spend money on expensive repairs. I'll tell you how to do this now.

By the way, this method of "stopping" cracks is not only suitable for plastic parts. You can save metal, wood and even glass products.

Inadvertently hit the cover of the tube. The damage is of course minor. But if left as it is, the crack will open, the lid will fall apart. Next, you will have to send a tube to the trash.

The renovation is very simple. We make a hole on each beam of the crack. It can be drilled or melted with a hot nail.

But when we start drilling the hole, the crack can spread beyond its limits due to the pressure of the drill. Better to be proactive.

For reliability retreat from the crack 3-5 mm and make a hole there. Immediately after drilling, press on the part at the place of damage. The crack starts to spread, rests against the hole and stops. The product has been saved!

Of course, if we have damaged a basin, bucket or barrel, it will no longer be possible to restore the tightness. But we can use them for bulk materials: carry sand, potatoes, etc. If the crack is stopped in time, it practically does not reduce the overall strength of the product.
