"Lime is needed for concreting the pillars"
Hello everyone! The subscriber of the channel (Yuri Butinsky) sent an interesting method of concreting, which he successfully applied more than 10 years ago to install fence posts. By the way, the pillars stand exactly to this day, which speaks of the reliability of this method.
The algorithm of actions is as follows:
1) A pillar of the required length with a metal thickness of at least 3 mm is painted with paint, at the bottom of the pillar with the help of a grinder (popularly - a grinder) we make a rectangular cutout, as shown in the diagram below.
Through this rectangular hole, concrete will enter the inner cavity of the pipe, which will increase the contact area of the column with concrete, which means that the column will stand stronger and longer. Even at shallower burial depths.
2) Half a bucket of quicklime is laid in the hole dug for the post. Then - rubble stone, or crushed stone, then - a mixture of sand and cement in a ratio of 2 to 1.
3) Finally, the mixture is filled with the required amount of water (1/2 of the proportion of cement in the mixture).
A violent reaction occurs with the release of gas and heat. After about 20 minutes, the reaction is over and we are essentially getting autoclaved concrete.
In the factory, the same gas blocks are made in approximately the same way, and there is no need to talk about the reliability of the gas block.
The author of the idea, Yuri, admits that he saw this method in childhood: his grandfather thus poured the foundation for a country house.
