A great way to patch up a hole in a mosquito net
After winter storage in the attic, for some reason unknown to me, mosquito nets get 1-2 holes a few centimeters long. It looks like the hole is small, but the mesh no longer fulfills its function - mosquitoes calmly fly into the house.
There are three not very successful options, and one, it seems to me, is a win-win. About them - below.
There were different options for fixing the mosquito net:
- tape up - checked: the patch flies off in 2-3 weeks :(
- replace the whole mesh - too expensive :(
- buy in Leroy a piece of mesh and riveting is ugly :(
It’s not right, and I came up with another neat solution to the problem. We take an iron washcloth from our wife (like the one in the photo below) and untangle it on threads 40-50 cm long - depending on the size of the hole.
With this iron thread, as it were, we "sew up" the hole - the main thing is to make the stitches of the same size as the section of the mesh, and it is also important to choose a sponge of the same color as the mesh.
I'll try - I'll post photos! Success to everyone!
