Manufacturers have achieved resistance to moisture by replacing the base material. In a classic laminate, this is an HDF board (in fact - pressed sawdust, it is they who swell). In FARGO quartz laminate, the base is an SPC panel (this material is much more interesting).
An SPC panel is a slab of stone chips where vinyl is used as a binder (stone, by definition, cannot swell). Density - 2,000 kg / cubic meter. Hence the high strength. It seems that locks should become the weak point of such a design. However, the manufacturer claims a tensile strength at the seams of 500 kg / m.pg. Worthy.
