A tricky Romanian well that gives water without a bucket: they shot a video of how it works
Hello everyone! There are villages in Western Ukraine where Romanians used to live. It just so happened that the local population left, and after it there were many unique technologies. This also applies to gardening, and repair, and construction.
One of the amazing technologies is the Romanian well. There is a chain in it, but a bucket is not tied to it - the well gives water even without it.
Initially, we filmed this video for our European friends, so we speak English, but Russians will also be interested in:
Principle of operation:
The chain is stretched between two fixed blocks: one at the top - the other at the bottom. Spinning the chain between the blocks, we raise the stream of water upward, along a narrow tube. The pipe ends with a kind of collector, from which 4 pipes come out - water flows through any of them. So you can collect water for four housewives at once and not wait in line.
The only tweak I would do is install taps for 3 pipes if only one person draws water.
