Bags for early tomatoes like me and tomatoes
On March 17 (yes, March!) Tomatoes in bags feel good. This is Kursk. 2 days have passed since the transshipment.
They made stands-benches under the tomatoes, an analogue of tables, so that the cold did not pull from the ground. The same shops accept seedlings for hardening.
This is a continuation of the experiment "Three in one - tomatoes in May"
Today the topic is bags. The most common ones sell at the checkout in Magnet. Let me remind you that the last refuge for these tomatoes was two-liter bags. All the tomatoes were already cramped at the time of transfer to bags. The roots crawled out of the holes in the bags.
Each bag holds approximately 20 liters of soil. So don't think that they are small. It only seems! And 5 liters of water for planting!
We bought PETER REAT soil for tomatoes and peppers, so that everyone has the same. I didn’t like him, he didn’t look like that before. I think everything will be fine with him, it just feels like the manufacturer is allowing himself more and more... Large perlite, peat with inclusions of plant residues of all sizes.
Biohumus is the same, bought in bags.
Finally, on March 15, she transplanted some of the tomatoes into spacious apartments, with registration until the end of the season. In the greenhouse. They are already quite tempered.
At the time of the transfer, it was -3 ° C outside. And in the greenhouse there is an IR heater.
About temperature
On the benches today at 10:30 am. the temperature was + 12 ° С

It was already impossible to keep the proportions of vermicompost during transplantation. So I'll write my conclusions on the proportions in seedlings in another article, I'll take a closer look.
And I'll write a separate article about bacteria. So far, only one thing: bacteria need organic matter! Vermicompost is the thing.
How are your early tomatoes doing :)
I would be grateful for your subscription and communication :)
