DIY house, from scratch. What did I manage to do during this construction season?
It's the end of the year and it's time to take stock. How does a goal, a great desire, and pleasure from the process move me in building my home?
Even now, when there is still a lot to come, looking at the results that have been achieved, I understand that it was not in vain that I started all this.
In the first spring days of this yearwhen the snow had not yet melted, I immediately got down to work.
I just couldn't wait... So I wanted to get down to business. Therefore, without waiting for the snow to melt, I cleaned everything off with a shovel.
Laying the first blocks, was a very crucial moment, where it was impossible to be mistaken.
Then came the hard and monotonous work. Laying even one floor is hard work for one person. And ending the extreme, twelfth row, the enthusiasm with which I started began to slowly fade.
After pouring the armopoyas with your own hands, I thought that the most difficult thing is over.
But how wrong I was.
Starting a new process, interest in the work caught fire with renewed vigor. But working with wood had its own nuances.
However, working with overlap, it seemed to me "an easy walk".
And here is the rafter systemadded gray hair to me.
And here it was not physical complexity that played a role more, but my desire to do everything accurately, almost perfectly (naive newbie). As you can imagine, not everything worked out that way for me.
And working with the roof is another story.
"Throwing sheets of shingles, what's so difficult?" - such is the look of a person who has never dealt with this. But there were many points here that will then influence the important characteristics of the whole house.
But in the end, the house is covered, and this is the main thing.
This entire period fits into just a few photographs, but only me really understand what it cost.
Both difficulties and joy... And fatigue and renewal of strength... And some moments of despair. There was everything!
โBut everything is surmountable, if you really need it. And now I can say for sure that in any business the process is no less important than the end result.
And how much more pleasure lies ahead ...
