Homemade jack in action. The system works, but I still had to tinker.
Raising an iron shed with improvised means is a task for a true self-builder. There is even a tool here made of scrap metal.
After I assembled the jack from the iron that was lying on my site, I certainly couldn't wait to test it in action.
How I did it, read this article:
Scrap metal jack, do it yourself. A simple scheme that can raise a lot.
And now the time has come.
For the sake of which I made it, it was the rise of the change house, for which it was time to move to a new foundation.
β To make this new foundation, you must first raise the change house on temporary supports, so that work can be carried out under it.
To be honest, I didn't know at all whether my "invention" would work or not. This made it even more interesting ...
Of course, the homemade device did not add to the ease of use.
- First, it was necessary to make a tunnel to install my jack, since the cab was practically on the ground. This is his first flaw ...
- Twisting the hairpin was also not very convenient. Constantly rearrange the key, hit the nut ... In general, not a fast process.
- Although it was necessary to adjust a little, and the process went faster ...
And most importantly, my "iron box" gradually rose above the ground.
Raised in turn from two sides. The "power" of my jack was quite enough.
I put in turn what was at hand, or rather the logs from the trees cut down on the site.
Although this was not the best solution. When the shed was high enough, then on these logs, I almost drove away ...
As a result, it turned out to raise the structure by about 20-30 cm, which was enough for further work. And most importantly, my homemade jack has fully justified itself.
So my "hut on chicken legs" is waiting for the next stage.
