I read everything I can about the benefits of pumpkin flower dishes. There are no contraindications. I can’t eat! Associations either with a pate from nightingale tongues, or with the fact that this dish was invented out of poverty.
I would like to know your opinion about this dish. They call it differently. I liked: "Elixir of Youth". Maybe friends came up with this name for me? Let it be so!
Ready pumpkin flowers in light batter looked like this:
Preparation
- Flowers without my stamens
- Removing the sepals
- Cut off the peduncle
- Before cooking, we once again inspect for the presence of insects, they could have time to go in to eat
- We dry the finished flowers a little so that they wither, lose their fragility.
Recipe
- Drive an egg into a bowl
- Pour in a little water (1: 1 with an egg by volume)
- Add your favorite spices, salt
- Whisk a little
- Dip each flower
- Letting the liquid drain a little
- Roll well in flour, shake off excess flour
- Put in a well-heated frying pan with a lot of sunflower oil
- We fry on the smallest fire
How useful is it
Pumpkin flowers contain all the nutrients, as well as pulp. Here is a list of diseases for which doctors recommend pumpkin flowers. In different forms, it can be tinctures or decoctions, but still they are recommended.

- Gout
- Neuroses
- To reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular disease
- As a choleretic
- For the treatment of purulent wounds
- To lower the temperature
- As an expectorant
I also learned that in supermarkets in Italy, semi-finished pumpkin flowers are sold in boxes, next to zucchini and cucumbers. It's a regular dinner there!
