Harm to geotextiles in the filtration field. Making a safe option for my septic tank. But this is not certain π.
Many things are useful in one place, can only harm in another. Although everyone does, starting from their own ideas about "correctness".
Friends, I continue to equip a filtration field for my homemade septic tank.
About what has already been done read on my channel.
The pit is ready, and it's time to fill it with something.
For this, 6 cubes of crushed stone, fractions 20-40 were brought. now it remains to transport all this to the place, using a wheelbarrow and a shovel.
Only one controversial question arose, to which I did not find a specific answer.
To lay geotextiles on the bottom of the pit or not?
- On the one hand, it will separate the rubble from the ground.
- But on the other hand, geotextiles can quickly silt up and create an additional barrier to filtration.
So I was tempted to do something in between ...
I laid the geotextile on the sides of the pit, but did not touch the bottom.
- So the crushed stone will not "creep" on the sides.
- And this will not greatly affect the filtration.
It is interesting to know your opinion on this matter. Write in the comments.
