There is such an enzyme - catalase (CF). She contained in our tissues, animals and plants. It does a very simple thing: it breaks down hydrogen peroxide into oxygen and water. Peroxide is formed in the process of vital activity constantly. Hydrogen peroxide is an oxidant. And KF is an antioxidant.

During any illness, atomic oxygen is produced in excess and is engaged in destructive work. Catalase slows down unwanted processes, each of its molecules does it at a tremendous speed: 10 ^ 7 H2O2 molecules per second.

The most "fashionable" disease (the name cannot be written in Zen) further enhances the production of cytokines by cells. From their excess, the immune system cannot figure out what to do (cytokine storm). And CF inhibits the production of excess cytokines.

As far as I understood, attempts to write off all new problems on bacteria, they say, only they infect the lungs, turned out to be untenable. It is the new disease that causes chaos, confuses the immune system, makes it an accomplice in its affairs (dysfunctional immune response).

The lungs suffer from their own immune system. Let me remind you that this is preceded by a cytokine storm. And therefore... there was a lack of catalase, which could quickly fight this storm.
