How to economically heat a house with electricity [a bit of my experience]

click fraud protection

When I tell my friends that I heat my house with an area of 100 sq.m. electricity, their faces usually stretch out in surprise
(and inside - "Yes, you, my friend, oligarch"), either in sympathy (it's hard for you, brother, in winter).

I equally do not understand either one or the other reaction. I'll tell you why.

Since we have no main gas in our village, and it is economically inexpedient to import solid and liquid fuel (firewood, LNG or diesel fuel), I am heated with electricity. The heating bill, even in the winter months, never exceeded 6,000 rubles.

Modern heating systems help me to save on heating
(and not so much) technologies:

At first, if you connect conventional oil heaters to the network and put them on even the weakest heating, they will work beyond measure. That is, they will turn on for 4-5 minutes every 20 minutes. Even if the room is already heated to normal temperature.

By the way, according to SNIPs, the minimum temperature for living quarters is 18 degrees, for a bathroom - 20 degrees.

So that the heaters do not heat the "excess", I connect them through the Digitop TP-1 socket thermostat with a remote sensor.

On it, you can set the air temperature you need (I set it to 19 degrees) and plug it into an outlet before the heater. Thanks to the relay, the heaters will maintain only a strictly specified temperature and will not waste extra kilowatt-hours, catching up with the air to an uncomfortable 25-26 degrees.

Prices and information about the Digitop TP-1 relay:

There are only three buttons on the Digitop TP-1 relay: in the center "S" - setting parameters (temperature / operating mode: cooling or heating, screen brightness). On the sides are "+" and "-" buttons. All. Setup takes 20 seconds.

Secondly, I heat the house to a comfortable 19 degrees for us only when there is someone in it. When we are at work, the temperature can be lowered.

This option is implemented in bedrooms, where we visit only at night. I control the temperature remotely via the Internet via a wi-fi thermostat from Sonoff. Leaving work, I press a button on my smartphone, and turn on the heating of the bedrooms. Sonoff relay itself:

Sonoff also has a remote sensor (like the first relay - Digitop), only it is shorter. Black temperature sensor:

And this is my whole system complete with an extension cord. A simple open circuit in which a relay with a sensor is built. The heater plug is simply inserted into the extension cord.

Prices and information about Sonoff TH16 relay:

Third piece, which I use to dare strangers is remotely turning on the lights in the house.

I have smart sockets, which are also controlled via wi-fi. I set a timer to turn them on automatically at 16:00 when it gets dark outside in winter. It got dark - the light in the hall came on by itself - as if the owners of the house.

Smart plug pricing and information:

So, these two technologies of the 21st century help me to heat the house for a reasonable fee and simulate my constant presence in it. I hope the article was useful to you, and you will like or leave your opinion in the comments.

Good luck!
