I installed the roof a year ago, and I am finishing the gables just now. How did it happen?

Leaving such openings unfinished is not my laziness or negligence. It just wasn't necessary. But now everything has changed ...

Friends, I welcome you. I already wrote about how I filled the space under the eaves. This was the first work in preparation for roof insulation.

This story goes back to the time of the construction of the pediments. Then I decided not to report them to the end for two reasons.

• Firstly, the blocks 😁 ended stupidly.
• And secondly, I just don't need the blocks at the very top.

The insulation of the roof will not go to the end of the rafters, in the upper part I will lay the insulation between the screeds. It turns out that this upper triangle will be "cold", So in the pediments, just a thin wall is enough.

And now a year later, finally got around to this ...

For manufacturing, I decided to use an OSB sheet.

This is the simplest option: I measured this triangle, cut it out, screwed it on. No problems.

But in reality everything turned out to be more complicated.

There are no forests around the house, and working even with such a small leaf from a staircase at a height of 8 meters is not very convenient... So I decided to do all the work from the inside.

• So that you can push the sheet from the inside, I divided it into two parts. One large triangle made two.
• Then, to each part, in advance, I screwed the bars along the edges. So it will be possible to fix all this to the rafter system without getting out.

• After, not in a very comfortable position, these parts were put in place.

• And it only remained to screw the screws into the very bars that I had previously installed on the OSB sheets.

Although it went through several stages, this installation was much easier and safer than doing the same thing outside the house.

As a result, this flaw is also completed ...

While it does not look very nice, but the exterior trim will hide everything.
