Mysterious stains on the membrane of my roof. There are no leaks, no condensation, but they all appear. I am looking for reasons.

As a beginner at a construction site, I do not understand everything, and then there are such inexplicable tasks. But I don't believe in magic.

This story lasts almost a year. When I finished installing my roof last winter, I began to be bothered by the spots that appeared on the inside of the membrane.

There was no damage, just moisture, either condensed from below, or somehow seeped from above.

Then I threw everything off on the fact that the roof was mounted both in the snow and in the rain. Anyway, the humidity was very strong. I thought it would pass.

And for a year, I followed this.

Fortunately, the roof will only be insulated, there was time for observations.

• Firstly, the spots appear periodically.

But if earlier they were all over the roof, now only in the area of ​​the ridge, and then only when it's wet outside (not necessarily rain). If there were dry days in the summer, then the spots did not appear.

• Secondly, I messed up.

These are the spots that began to appear after I treated the rafters with an antiseptic. Exactly in those places where I processed the wood from the spray gun, and, accordingly, partially got this on the membrane.

Then, I read somewhere else that all these "fire" and "bio" protective solutions can affect the membrane, but I'm not sure. If you know for sure, write in the comments.

Plus a story with birds.

I already wrote that my house liked the birds, and I even had to catch them inside. But of course they did not lag behind this.

Among all the spots, some with a brown tint can be found. And I have only one guess how they could have painted like this 💩🤢. And I do not exclude that these birds could somehow still damage the membrane surface. Visible traces here ...

And what is not visible is not clear... and one can only guess.

Soothes only one thing.

The area under the ridge will remain ventilated. I will insulate on the screeds.

So there, you don't have to worry about the insulation.

But unsolvable questions are still haunted.
