I won't give pumpkin tails to anyone, you need pumpkin tails yourself
For a long, long time, I was not serious about talking about the benefits of pumpkin tails. My logic was as follows: in all parts of the plant there is the entire set of substances inherent in this plant. Only proportions differ. People go for the tastier and more digestible parts.
And in the comments to the articles about the pumpkin there were mockery, would I suggest more pumpkin tails? I didn't know anything about them then, so I thought that, of course, not.
By the way, I will show these picturesque comments in the screenshots at the end. There and seriously people share their experience, and make fun.
For those who like to draw nightmares, I’ll say right away: there is no need to gnaw tails, chop and boil :)
So, I found a whole layer of recipes from a pumpkin stalk and thought, someone else was doing all this, and
- The toothache subsided
- Swelling decreased
- Colitis passed
- The liver, kidneys, stomach, heart somehow reacted well to decoctions from pumpkin stalks
- Even the sugar went down with diabetes
I don’t know how the salts of heavy metals and slags came out, but everything else can be measured and noticed.
I decided to temporarily move my skepticism, to look for information on what is in the stalks of the pumpkin, which is not in other parts of this plant.
I have not found scientific articles. I realized that many stalks contain tannins, they definitely have a healing effect.
Useful digression
Found a dietary supplement Cherry stalk extract, there is an expert opinion of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Research Institute of Nutrition" of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences No. 72 / E-312 / b-12 dated 19.04.2012. It turns out that in pre-revolutionary Russia, cherry stalks were exported to France as a diuretic, and not only.
The list is impressive, from which these cherry stalks helped. And I found their composition: iodine, tannins, acids (citric and malic), dextrose, sucrose, quercetin, fructose, coumarins.
This is somewhat convincing that the stalks, not only cherries, are useful. And the composition is not a dummy, not just fibers.
What is the logic of pumpkin stalk lovers
They write that this is the placenta, the umbilical cord, which contains all the substances necessary for the fetus. That, when stored, the stalk helps the pumpkin keep longer. And most importantly, these are recipes from grandmothers and from Tibetan traditional medicine, they are.
The most common recipe
One crushed stalk is poured with a glass of boiling water and boiled for 10 minutes, insisted for 30 minutes. They are filtering. The diuretic is ready. Drink 2 tablespoons 3 times a day. If teeth hurt, rinse them with this broth.
And now I will give a complete list of diseases from which, as fans of pumpkin stalks write, a decoction helps, you will understand why I still decided to write this article. So, a decoction of pumpkin stalks:
- Mild laxative
- Improves Digestion
- Relieves inflammation in the colon
- Vasodilator for edema and kidney disease
- Helps with gallbladder atony
- Gout
- Atherosclerosis
- Liver disease
- Removes salts of heavy metals and toxins from the body
- Recommended for metabolic disorders

As promised, I am showing comments on this topic to another article:
