Shed, without which there is no country house. Why did I decide to make it myself without buying a ready-made
I must say right away that the woodcutter cost me 75,000 rubles. Two days of work for two people.
On the site, of course, there was already a woodshed. In terms of age, the structure, made of slabs and oak logs, served as storage for firewood, but every year it was dilapidated, began to collapse and threatened to fall on apple trees, and the barn was almost 100 years old. Old gray decayed barn entourage attractiveness of the site where it stands wonderful gazebo and a bathhouse is under construction, did not add it exactly. There was an urgent need to build a new log house, and use the old one for wood.
How the old barn was dismantled and the remains of the firewood were dragged is a separate "song". It was even difficult to demolish this shed; it took 3 days to disassemble and transfer the remnants of the firewood so that no traces of the old firewood remained.
Unlike new home project, which we "drew" for several years, the project of the new structure was completed in an hour - we sketched a drawing on paper with a pencil and in the morning we started to implement the task.
Short.
The plot was leveled. We put 8 concrete blocks under the base around the perimeter, which became the foundations of my barn.
They brought: a board of 6 meters - 3 cubic meters, a metal profile for the posts and the basis of the entire frame of the future barn. The doors were old and used.
The size of the barn turned out to be 5.3 X 2.65 m.
I don't think I need to write and upload a photo of how to cook a frame and nail a board. I'd rather show that I have "stuck" to the shed.
I already have a workbench on the old part of the site, but it's not very convenient to run around there for every little thing. Something similar suggested itself in a new place. The solution was simple - to attach the boards to the lumberjack itself, and use the support of the shed itself as the legs of the future workbench. We released in advance, i.e. they did not cut the timber, which was the basis for the shed floor. The photo shows what happened. I marked with an arrow.
And, of course, the construction of the shed and workbench did not end there.
I was always worried about whether there was enough wood for the winter or not. In the 4 years since I moved to live in the village, I have not bothered to measure how much firewood goes away during the winter. This year, I determined that about 10-12 cubic meters of birch are spent on barbecue and tandoor, for heating a house and others.
I decided, just in case, to make a couple of racks from a 50X30 metal-profile pipe for storing firewood. One rack holds 4 cubes, the other 2 cubes.
Now I am calm, the house will always be warm, and there is more than enough firewood for frying a barbecue and roasting a leg of lamb in a tandoor.
The new woodcutter easily "ate" 20 cubic meters in his bowels. When they built a firewood, they calculated the volume of storage of firewood, and so that there was space for storage tool, a small table for work: sharpening chainsaw chains, a place for preparing any tool to work.
I connected electricity to the new barn.
How can you buy such beauty for 75,000 rubles?
In general, I am very pleased with the firewood, and in fact, with the new workplace and storage space.
