Kenwood Сooking Сhef - how a super harvester spoiled the New Year celebration. Why you can't buy Kenwood Сooking Сhef
Kenwood Сooking Сhef advertising hung on our ears a couple of years ago. I decided to update all my gadgets in the new kitchen in the village. The kitchen had a large number of useless appliances that you use, at best, every two years. There were devices that simply did not meet the promised advertising applications and tasks. I studied the topic of planetary combines for a long time. And, naturally, the American planetary mixer Kitchenaid was always the first to appear in the search.
The price of the device is prohibitive, like the cost of tickets to the Bolshoi Theater for the Nutcracker on New Year's Eve.
For a long time I "sniffed" the desired toy, reading reviews, practically became a specialist at Kitchenaid. I could already advertise the American myself. It was embarrassing that at the same price from different manufacturers, the harvesters of the same brand also differed in noise effects. A number of other byak Kitchenaid were a little upset, but I was still mentally ready to purchase a combine. But while I was interested in the topic, by a "happy" accident I saw another similar device that could replace all my kitchen appliances, accumulated over the years, piling up on my countertop and collecting dust. The choice fell on Kenwood Сooking Сhef.
Visually, Kenwood differed from Kitchenaid by "visual reliability", modern design, and most importantly, by a set of functions and attachments that I did not find in Kitchenaid.
Kenwood has even managed to integrate induction heating into its unit, which makes it possible to make cheese that requires a certain temperature.
The choice was made.
On New Year's Eve we bought Kenwood Сooking Сhef. The purchase included the unit itself and the main attachments: a meat grinder, a chopper, a mixer. Now I don’t remember what was in the first set of nozzles when I bought it, but in the end, after a year of operation, almost all the attachments were purchased, including the noodle cutter.
We used Kenwood, especially in the early days, quite often. Then, as necessary, and the device specifically liked.
The first bell was when the base of the plastic chopper bowl cracked. At first I thought it was my own fault that the cup was broken. Tightened with wire - it works. Do not buy new plastic for 5000 rubles. Forgot and continued to use the combine.
On this NG, we even made a cover for our kitchen assistant for 5000 rubles. But, the happiness of owning Kenwood was short-lived.
Have you noticed that all my references to Kenwood's assessment are in the past tense?
Will explain.
Yesterday we decided to make minced meat for cutlets. Soaked the bread, turned the meat through a meat grinder, kneaded everything in the machine.
And now about what made me write this article.
They began to wash the meat grinder attachment and…. Found on the remains of meat, which always remains on the shaft and knife, metal shavings in the form of needles. They began to check all the rubbing parts of Kenwood that could create additional ingredients for the minced meat, they found.
The meat grinder shaft clung to the protruding edges of the nozzle itself and ripped off the soft metal into shavings.
A doubt arose in my head, maybe the butcher sharpened the ax and did not wash it, hence the shavings. But "shoveling" the ready-made minced meat, palms stumbled upon a similar shavings. Having examined carefully the nozzle itself, we saw both the sharpened edges of the grinder cylinder and the marks on the shaft.
Of course, we will continue to use Kenwood Cooking Chef, or rather some of its nozzles, do not throw out the unit costing more than 100,000 rubles, but you definitely cannot take risks when preparing dishes using Kenwood rubbing nozzles.
Upset Kenwood Сooking Сhef. If I had known today about his "soft" attachments, I would definitely not have bought either a combine or attachments.
