A story about the realization of your desires: to have a house and your own bathhouse in the suburbs. Start.
I was not a fan of country life. But the city regime is already annoying. The body is increasingly demanding rest. Tourist trips are either fed up or just boring. And as many as 107 days off a year, plus holidays and vacations. So the dull days of killing are gaining more than 140, and this is almost a third of the year. For all these days of rest you can't go abroad, and you can't stay in the city either. There remains the only type of recreation - it is a vacation outside the city.
Of course, a dacha with 6 acres in the near Moscow region, with houses standing close to each other, where to the water we have to walk 5 km, and the forest can only be seen through a telescope, we no longer have such a rest seduces. The "communist paradise" is clearly not going to fulfill desires. So there is only one way out - a cozy house with a bathhouse in the village, where neighbors, like relatives, the neighboring houses are not visible behind the apple trees, and in the old hut you get enough sleep for a week in advance.
Our family, like any city family that has not "come in large numbers" to Moscow, but is in some way a root part of the city, has his own small piece of land, which was inherited from grandmothers and great-grandmothers who lived, like all our ancestors, in the village. Few people still remember that Moscow did not immediately become a big city. And Moscow itself was a big village. The capital was surrounded by villages that “merged” into Moscow. But our land is not about an allotment in Rublevka or Pirogovo, not about villages around Podolsk or in Malakhovka, but about more real land cuts, which have not yet laid their eyes on the city governors of various sizes of satellites and large Moscow region centers.
So I continue. Our family has a small piece of land in an old village. Of course, the villages are all old, new villages do not appear on the maps. Today, houses in old villages are more often bought, it is cheaper and more reliable in terms of paperwork. But it so happened that the old five-walled house in the village was inherited from our grandmother. The grandmother who left us an inheritance was my own grandmother's cousin. That village grandmother's husband was shot, without understanding, back in 1943, and there were no children from the marriage. So after the death of my grandmother's cousin, the house and the plot remained with us.
In the village, in contrast to summer cottages and horticultural allotments, construction is always more profitable, convenient and simpler. And in recent years, city dwellers have been actively reaching for hereditary plots and began to build and rebuild, creating "hacienda" for themselves. Thus, the old villages began to "come to life", and moreover, quite worthy neighbors. In every village there are families who live all year round in their homes, which means they are practically excluded burglaries of other people's houses, which allows you to improve your house and plot according to your mood and in accordance requests.
We inherited such an old village house, in which one large room of 22 sq. meters, burdened with a stove, taking up a third of the usable area, a house with three embrasure windows to the street. There is also a small room in front of the hut, which is used as a kitchen, and an extension without insulation. (canopy), where you can survive two or three good people in good warm weather for two weeks link-leave.
The house is small, the amenities are in the yard, but this is no stranger to our mentality. The fact that there is no gas or water, and it takes half a day to heat the stove, burning a stack of firewood, which is already difficult to buy, and even expensive, did not bother me anymore. And with age, it's already too lazy to go somewhere, so we spend our holidays in the village. There is a vegetable garden, a dilapidated fence, and the whole village is potential relatives.
But time dictates its own conditions and rules of life. For me personally, in our village I miss a simple, comfortable modern bath. After all, a bath is health, and a reason to relax once again. And in our village, like a viral disease, everyone is being built: who decided to update the fence, who to build a bathhouse, who expanded the house, who is shifting the roof, who is what. So we decided not to separate from the masses, and to line up following the example of our neighbors.
There were no questions about what to build. Of course, you need to build a bathhouse. They reasoned something like this. We have a house, though old, but still strong, we seem to fit everything, even during the invasion of all relatives on the feast of Our Lady of Kazan. This is the only holiday that I have celebrated in this village for many decades. Although all the relatives and former permanent residents of the village have moved away and no longer live in this village, with the stubbornness of a weightlifter, they stubbornly come to their native land to celebrate this church holiday.
