A simple slide for the circular saw. Improvement
I wrote about the manufacture of these sleds in the fall here in this article.
Now I have improved them a little and propose to see what exactly the revision is and what it is for.
First I made a 25x6mm groove in both parts of the slide.
The groove was made on a circular along the parallel stop. This groove is for replaceable inserts so that zero clearance can be maintained.
To the left side, I added a bar on the side, in which I fixed a wing bolt to fix this part to the table.
On the right side, I added a rear block and a removable insert in height.
I also added another guide to the right side, which is pressed against the edge of the table.
That is, in the right, movable part of the slide, it turned out to make two interchangeable inserts - horizontal and vertical.
The rear block is made large enough and the saw blade is completely closed at the exit.
The test cut showed good results.
In general, it turned out to make a safer slide, with the ability to replace worn out linings.
