Why did I decide that the laminate on the walls

The task before us was to make non-standard wall decoration so that it looked stylish and not overused. We went through a lot of options, everything was not right. But then the idea arose - to use laminate flooring for wall decoration in the room.

We chose a laminate - and did not regret it! I'll tell you why.

Laminate on the walls is unnatural, which means it is original

The choice of shades is huge! Walls can be made classic pastel, mysterious dark or multi-colored. In any case, it will look luxurious and non-standard.

You can make a discreet monochromatic finish of the entire wall, highlight the focal part with a laminate. In addition, the laminate flooring is assembled as a constructor, so the walls can be assembled from a variety of "colorful parts" that will make the appearance of the room incredibly stylish.

You can arrange elements vertically, horizontally, tilted, or create geometric patterns - in general, do whatever your imagination wants.

Adequate price for designer finishes

Laminate on the walls looks like expensive designer finishes. Moreover, its cost is quite low. There are, of course, elite materials, but I would not recommend choosing them. For walls, the classic options of the middle price category are quite suitable.

Easy assembly and, if necessary, disassembly

Even a non-professional can perform such a finish. There will be no problems. Yes, the technology is slightly different from flooring. But the principle is similar. And it's not difficult.

Additional benefit: Laminate is easy to install and just as easy to dismantle. Therefore, if you get tired of it on the walls, you can remove it and move it to another room on the walls or on the floor.

Practicality and care

Everyone knows about the unpretentiousness of the laminate. It does not need special care. It is enough just to brush off the dust sometimes. Unlike wallpaper, it can be easily wiped off, for example, children's stickers or drawings.

Strength and durability

The strength characteristics of the laminate are higher than those of other finishing materials. It is less susceptible to mechanical stress. Therefore, it will serve you for a long time and please the eye. In addition, the laminate on the walls provides additional heat and sound insulation!

Of course, the laminate has its drawbacks:

• The appearance is specific - not to everyone's taste.
• For damp rooms, ordinary laminate is not suitable, only with a special coating.
• And the well-established belief that laminate is a flooring material prevents many people from adopting other ways of using it.
